Proteax - but which Proteax ?

Proteax comes in three different product flavors:

• Proteax for Spreadsheets
• Proteax Desktop
• and Proteax Cartridge

License-wise there are however only two choices to make: Proteax Desktop or Proteax Cartridge.

A Proteax Desktop license gives you the right to use both Proteax Desktop (using Proteax through scripting) and Proteax for Spreadsheets (using Proteax from within Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice.org Calc).

So do you need a Proteax Cartridge license ? If you already have an Oracle database and want to extend it with Proteax's powerful SQL extensions then Proteax Cartridge is your choice. If you do not have an Oracle database - then look no further than Proteax Desktop.

If you are so fortunate as to have an Oracle database you may want both Proteax Cartridge licenses and licenses for Proteax Desktop too (e.g. your users want to extract Oracle data directly into Proteax for Spreadsheets).
